Cedar looked like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth, but ignore him and he would take a swipe at you with his paw or turn his head on the side and bite your elbow. He would also insist on curling up on your lap if you sat down to talk on the phone or sit at the computer, and was very loving at those times. He loved catching mice and birds and would proudly bring them into the house via his cat door and deposit them as a gift (mostly still alive!) One night he meowed pitifully, trapped on the roof of the 2-storey units opposite. The fire brigade was called to rescue him, but by the time they got their long ladder all set up, he escaped off the roof down the tree he most likely climbed up in the first place. - Kay
